I have never been into blogging since I am also not into writing. I heard about this blog from my classmates and friends but then still I wasn’t interested in joining because I was too lazy to write. Time came when I had an English two subject and I was under Ma’am Lynnie. She required us to have a blogspot account and have at least one blogging entry per week. At first, I find this requirement boring. But when every week I post a blog, I felt like I’m getting used to it and it became one of my weekly habits. Thanks to Ma’am Lynnie, she changed my thought about blogging.
I don’t know if this would be my last blogging entry but before the last entry requirement in English two ends, let me share to you what happened during my classes in the last week of February 2010.
The last days of February had been very tough. Too many assignments, and requirements were scheduled to be passed that week. In English two, we were to pass the outline and note cards that week. We were just fortunate that Ma’am Lynnie moved the deadline. She gave us more time to have further research on our note cards for our term paper. Having this term paper is quite difficult since you really need to have a thorough searching and understanding. And in accounting, assignments were given for us to be ready for our upcoming quiz.
Second semester for school year 2009-2010 is almost over but the challenges and requirements are still up and on the line. May God bless everyone. We can do this friends. Let’s do our best to have a successful semester. :)

too many things to do..
First meeting for last week was all about note taking. Ma’am Lynnie discussed the strategies or ways on how to take note on our sources we’ve collected. The following were through using quotes, summary and paraphrase. When you use quotes you use quotation marks and ellipses while in summary you write all the necessary information and when you paraphrase, you do the note taking by writing what you have understood in your own words. We were then given an activity by her about this and also on outlining that was discussed the other week.
Deadlines were also scheduled by Ma’am Lynnie. She told us that we are going to pass our note cards and final outline this Tuesday, February 23,2010. Since finals is also fast approaching, our deadline on passing our first draft will be on this coming Friday.
Hope we can make it on our deadlines. We have so many projects and other important matters to be passed this week. God bless everyone. :)

a week of activities..
We had two activities in English two for last week. We were grouped into four and the topics were then assigned to respective groups. We were given the topic sophisticated new technology.
On our first activity, we were tasked to give the specific topic, specific claim and thesis statement. After brainstorming, we had finally written what we were tasked to do. Our specific topic was sophisticated new technology in the field of new technology having the specific claim “It has become more efficient but also expensive.” And we came up to have our thesis statement which is “The government should provide these surgical sophisticated technologies in public hospitals to make them more accessible and helpful to the average income earners.” This is what we have made from our critical thinking.
The second activity that we had last Thursday was the discussion on the group-made outline on our particular topic. Each group-made outline were then evaluated or criticized by the other group as well as Ma’am Lynnie. We crossed our fingers when our turn came. But I am proud to say, we passed that evaluation. Thanks to group mates’ ideas, efforts and cooperation that it turned out so well.

thankful of the acitivity though tired of the sleepless nights..
Such a very exhausting week it is. In our block, we were too busy studying our lessons in accounting for our incoming comprehensive exam. We had started to have our sleepless nights. And we are hoping we will pass.
On the other hand, I also enjoyed last week’s English two class. Why? Simply because we had an activity on how to write the proper entries of our sources using the APA format. We had 2 sets of that game. We were given 1 minute and 30 seconds for every book to get the informations- author, title of the book or articles, year and place of publication and all other important informations that we need . Then another 5 minutes to finalize and write it on a manila paper. We were sad that we did not get a passing score for that activity but we are also thankful because we learn many things from that activity. And on our second meeting last week, we were all scared of Ma’am Lynnie. And again why? Ma’am Lynnie asked us about our topics and our thesis statements. If only we were just asked to say it, it wouldn’t be that difficult. But then, we were asked individually and it was really like a pre oral defense. I was so relieved when Ma’am Lynnie said “Okay. That’s good. We go to the next one.”
That’s all for last week. :D

blog..blog..blog..
Midterms are fast approaching which also means the second semester is also near to end. Freshmen days are over very soon. The days surely fly so fast. We have to make every second counts.
Schedules are starting to be hectic. We are now on the process of making our term paper in English two. Last Thursday, we were tasked to record and have at least five sources written in a 3x5 index card to be passed next meeting. This will help us in finding our sources in the libraries and in the internet easy.
Our teacher also told us that we are going to have an activity tomorrow on how to write the bibliography properly. We were instructed to view on her site the APA style on writing the sources.

reaction essay.. *Renewable marriage proposal*
Our teacher mentioned about this proposal on renewable marriages wherein marriage license is renewable every 10 years last Tuesday, January 19. When I heard about this, first question in mind was a big “What?” It somehow made me wonders. I was really shocked to know that someone had thought of having this proposal to be passed on the congress. Maybe this person is thinking of wanting to be out of marriage life. I don’t know but I hope this person also thinks about what others would say if they knew the couple is separated and the children are left behind.
"It will enhance the relationship of the couple. Initially, we talked about 5 years. But then, you know, if people know that there's going to be an expiry [date for marriage licenses], they will be more caring since this is a consent between 2 parties," Isa - Ako Babaeng Astig Aasenso" or 1-ABAA president Margie Tajon said in an interview on Mornings @ ANC. It is easy to say and to split or end relationships but very difficult to make adjustments especially when you already both have children and both are considered as parents. I mean, think about the children. Who will take care of them, love them and guide them if parents will decide to separate? Yes, the children may choose which side they will go with, mom or dad. But have someone even thought of what the children would feel? It would surely affect child’s emotional growth and I know nobody would want that, right? Nobody would want their children be victims of what’s going on with their parent life.
Marriage is not a joke, not a game. As they say, entering marriage life is not something you eat which you can spit out when you don’t like. It is not like a business contract that can be renewed and can be canceled when you’re already in an agreement.
Obviously, I disagree to this proposal for because of this, marriages turned out to be not a serious matter to be taken cared off. Since whenever you want to give up and be out of your married life, you can now do it by waiting for 10 years for the marriage license to expire and off you go, you are now single and free again. But then, how could I forget that marriage is a holy covenant where two special people are joined together as one that for richer and poorer, for better and for worse, they will face life together. And also in the very beginning of everything, why decide to marry someone if you aren’t sure you are ready to face the trials as a couple for the rest of your life, right? If you are unprepared for the possible upcoming situations then simply don’t do it, don’t decide to get married.

Still going though disappointed..
I simply had fun on our English two class last Tuesday, January 19. Why? Our teacher first discussed the basic structure of an essay – introduction, body and conclusion. And this leads us to talk about some controversial issues in the country. I really did enjoy listening to every detail our teacher says. It somehow made me really want to think about it. It gives me reasons to question myself if it’s true or not. And this is also the reason why for our next blog task, we are required to make a reaction essay on a certain controversial issue we would like to react on.
I was so happy then to start my week with smiles because of the issues we talked about last Tuesday. I really had a great time. But sad to say, this week ended to be somewhat disappointing for me. I got lost on track. “If you cannot win the battle, you should and you have to change you battle plans," my Dad says . I want this course and it somehow turned out to be so hard for me. Maybe I just lack motivation and more determination to study accounting. I should change my style on studying our major subject which is accounting to be able to recover the dissatisfying scores.

2nd week of 2010..
Phew! What a week it is. Everyone were too busy catching up the lessons for this year. On the first day of meeting for this week in English two, our teacher told us that we need to pass our final topic sentence and thesis statement for our term paper. It was really difficult to find a topic that is related to our field likewise we should have an idea about it and we like it. Good thing I have finally decided to choose "Importance of ethics training for the success of the company." I hope it's a good topic for my term paper because I believe the employees are the most important asset of a company.
We also had our preliminary exam on English two last Thursday,January 14. The last part was really difficult for we are like going to make a short sample term paper. Requirements for that part of the exam were the topic sentence, thesis statement, outlines, and have a written output of the chosen topic. It was difficult for I had limited time to write something about it. What I wrote on the paper was just what comes to my mind at that very moment. I was under time pressured.
I just hope I pass on our exam, we pass.

The Unforgettable Wedding of My Dearest Sister

The sun was not yet up in the day of January 9, 2010 that I, the bridesmaids and the flower girls were already dressed up with our lovely gowns. We were waiting for our make-up artists to apply some facial cosmetics to be totally ready for pictorial later. The reserved rooms of my sister and her husband to be that time were too occupied by the entourage. Dressed up here and dressed up there. An hour and a half before the call time of the wedding, both the bride and the groom were getting dressed up. They just look so beautiful and really perfect for each other. Pictorial of the entourage with the bride and groom was then followed when both were ready. Series of formal and informal pictures were taken by the photographer in that hotel.
At exactly 9:30am, the groom and the others were already waiting for the bride in the church. Well, as my sister’s maid of honor, I was with her wherever she goes. We were like making the short way in going to church a somewhat like a long journey to have a little delay in arriving at church.
The time had finally come. We were all ready to start the wedding ceremony. Excited at the same time a little bit nervous, that was what I felt at that moment. My little sister was the one assigned to sing the song for the groom’s moment in walking towards the altar. And as she sang that song, I just didn’t understand what I felt that time. My tears ran unto my face. I was really shocked of the sudden tears. I quickly ran to my friends and asked help to check on my make-up. They were laughing and telling me I was like the bride since I cried. They were right on that one. So, I went back to my position since the bridesmaids already started their march. Finally my turn, the maid of honor’s moment, to walk down the aisle had come. I walked slowly and smiled till I got in the altar. We then waited patiently for the bride’s moment. When she got out of the bridal car wearing that most beautiful bridal gown I have ever seen then walked slowly in the red carpet covered with fresh flowers, everybody were so happy to see her in her gown. Everybody was giving attention to every step on the carpet she makes. She was teary-eyed while walking in the aisle because of the happiness she felt that very moment. And as my dad gave her hand to her husband to be, it was such a moment for both sides. The mass then continued till the groom and the bride exchanged their vows, put on their rings and have them declared by the priest as newly weds.

blog 2010..
I think students had a great and busy start of the year. Everybody is busy meeting some old friends and preparing for the preliminary examinations and some reports. Too much student tasks came since January 4, 2010.
Three English two classes had been done for this week. We had continued discussing the word bins and run-on sentences. I was a bit empty when we started the word bins lesson. There are really many words I was not really familiar with. That was really something I should remember. And the next one was to correct run-on sentences. She taught us how we should break down long sentences and also to differentiate fragments from complete sentences. I wasn’t able to attend our make up class last January 9, Saturday afternoon, since that day was the wedding of my sister.
Here is a thought to ponder from our English two teacher for this week. We should be serious in handling situations at present. As a student, we should do well in our studies because what our attitude now in our college studies will also be the attitude in our future works in the different offices. We should learn how to have proper discipline towards everything.
Thank you ma’am for telling us. :)
